Matthew Sieberg
Pianist Matthew Sieberg is a Mankato, Minnesota native and began performing for the public as a choir accompanist and church musician at age 11. Participation in piano competitions and master classes also helped fuel his passion for the instrument early in life. Still today he is an active chamber musician and also thrives as a soloist.
Mr. Sieberg earned a B.A. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Bemidji State University. There, he studied with Dr. Stephen Carlson. As a music scholarship recipient, he enjoyed the many performance opportunities the University and community offered. After many successful auditions for master’s programs, he chose the University of South Carolina for his M.M. in Piano Performance and received his degree in 2014. The graduate assistantship as a staff accompanist he sought was also awarded to him. Dr. Charles Fugo was his trusted advisor and teacher. He now resides closer to home in St. Paul, MN actively teaching and performing.
